Ale Yeah! Jert on thrilist
I'm in the middle of working on a mural installation at Decatur Georgia's newest (and only) craft beer market, Ale Yeah!. I'm mentioned in an article here on the Atlanta version of thrillist.com . I still have quite a bit of work to do on the project, but I'll be sharing step by step photos here on the jert blog as soon as work is completed.

Abandoned Six Flags New Orleans Tour
I drew caricatures at this theme park before Katrina happened.
This video is weird for me to watch because I remember what the place looked like when there were people around.

Lost Toys in Rochester, New York
*poster art by David Cowels
I'm very pleased to have been invited to take part in the group show "LOST TOYS: The Ones That Got Away" at the Mercer Gallery at Monroe Community College in Rochester New York.
Here's the write up on the facebook event page:
"LOST TOYS: The Ones That Got Away"
The Monroe Community College, Mercer Gallery, Rochester, NY
Everybody has one: The treasured toy that they wish they still had, the one that they wanted but never got or the dream toy that never actually existed. The cherished toy from one's childhood looms large in the memory, and is usually much more impressive in the mind than it probably was in real life. And it's the larger than life toy of our memory (or imagination) that we are celebrating. Just in time for the holidays! Several well respected artists will present their dream toys in a variety of styles and media. Think of the gallery for this show as M.C.C. Shwartz. So, bring your inner child, or actual child, and relive the magic.

As promised earlier in the blog these are 2 of the pieces I had in the Asifa Atlanta show at Wonderroot. I've posted these images before, but these are freshly scanned and tweaked versions so I wanted to share them with you....my internet friends. Originally I was going to make this a reminder post ...like a "don't forget to go to wonderroot " kinda thing, but alas I just got an email to pick these bad boys up because the show is now over........ So if you missed it, theeeeeen ya blew it.

3rd annual Asifa-Atlanta Cartoon Art Show
Hey guys, I'm in this show for the third year now, It'll be running for the next month at Wonderroot here in Atlanta. I've got three pieces up in this one, I've posted them here on the blog before but they've never been in a gallery. I tweaked them so they're a little cleaner than before. I'll post 'em here on the blog once the show is over. The opening receptions for these things are great fun so if you are local you should go check it out. I unfortunately won't be attending due to a recent death in the family...not feeling very social at the moment. Don't let that stop you though....go have some fun and see some great ART!

Thanks Everybody
100,000
According to sitemeter, as of today, this blog has reached 100,000 page views.
I don't know what that means exactly, but for me it's like receiving 100,000 unspendable dollars. Thanks pals, if only your friendship could buy me things of actual value.

Jert + Pabst
I've just been informed by the Pabst brewery that my piece (pictured above) will be used in a marketing campaign in Atlanta, GA and Pheonix, AZ....Pabst is going to paint it large scale on big walls in hip neighborhoods, you may have seen these PBR murals somewhere in your city over the last couple of years. I'm not sure where the murals are going to be yet here in Atlanta but I've seen them in the East Atlanta Village before so my guess is either there or L5P. If anyone reading this blog is in or around Phoenix, and you happen to walk past this fella please snap a pic and send it my way. Look for these guys to start popping up in May....
