Pink Elephant

This is a wine bottle label I created for the new Bourgeios Brickhouse Winery based out of Waterloo, Illinois

SOLD!

Just sold this original drawing to a happy buyer in the St.louis area that is a big Ray Charles fan..The original drawing is 12x16, airbrushed with graphite on 60 lb. vellum paper and it was drawn way back in 2005. Reproductions of this guy has been up on the display walls at a bunch of major theme parks and retail caricature locations all over the place including Orlando (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure), New Orleans (Riverwalk), Atlanta (Six Flags over Georgia), and Myrtle Beach ( Hard Rock Cafe theme park). I'm glad it has a happy new home on someone's living room wall.

By the way, if YOU are interested in buying or commissioning an original piece of art from me then hit me up with the deets at mrjert@gmail.com , I'll be happy to take your money. (semicolon , close parentheses)

Eual and Tobe

These are my grandparents, I love them very much, they are in heaven now. For the record, my Grandma's name was actually Alice, but my Grandpa insisted on calling her Tobe. Nobody knows for sure why, but she didn't seem to mind.

Old News

Here is a link to a September news article from the Atlanta Journal Constitution about New Orleans artists that relocated to Atlanta after Hurricane Katrina. It is a well written piece by journalist David lee Simmons in which I am briefly quoted.

and here's a link to my New Orleans photo album on facebook, featuring pictures I took pre, post, and shortly after Katrina

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=156153&id=1064584576&l=9b85b73dc9

It's been 4 years and 112 days since God evicted me from New Orleans...time goes by fast, and I miss it sometimes, but overall I am happy with how things turned out for me.

meanwhile.....

I got lotsa pieces in the works , there will be new artwork up on the old jertblog very soon.
