JERT at the St.Louis Underground Music Festival

Hey all my STL people, I will be appearing at he St. Louis Underground Music Festival at the Atomic cowboy next Saturday the 18th, I'll be painting live and selling prints. Cover charge is $10 and there are like a million hip-hop acts performing on 3 stages. Good times will be had.

Art of Caricature lecture at SCAD


I will be sharing pearls of wisdom like this
I will be giving my yearly lecture and demonstration on the art of caricature at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. The lecture and demo will begin at 11am in the Illustration building on Wednesday January 27th. live caricature videos




in this video you can hear me mindlessly gabbing and chuckling at a typical heckler/funny guy type (these are QUITE common)...I concentrate on the drawing as much as possible and my mouth just stays pleasant and humors him until hopefully he goes away

oh and for the record I had NOTHING to do with the music selection :)

ASIFA ATLANTA GOLDEN AGE EXHIBITION

" 1940's "

these 3 pieces are a part of the ASIFA Atlanta's Annual exhibition At Eyedrum (290 mlkjr dr.)
This years theme was "The Golden age of cartoons and comics: art inspired by works from the 1920's thru 1970's". I decided to draw from the stereotypical representations of conflicts from the different decades. The Opening is Saturday night Dec. 6th 8-11. Google Eyedrum for directions.
