2 months ago I was hired to draw at Superbowl 44 in Miami for 3 hours during the game.3 days ago I was told that I was actually expected to work 4 hours but still get paid for 3. Something about a miscommunication with event planners and the NFL having to cut the entertainment budget to bolster security.I then had to make a decision.A) is it cooler to say I worked for the NFL at the Superbowl or B)is it cooler for me to tell the NFL to go to hell because they don't want to pay me what I'm worth... I chose B

But I'm totally OK with it because I get to watch my Saints win the Superbowl on my own television with loved ones, instead of listening to the crowd watch the game from outside the stadium while waiting for a shuttle bus to take me to my car so I can scramble to watch the last quarter and a half at some overcrowded Miami bar......Who DAT

It would have been a very cool gig, but I agree with your decision. Don't know why people always think going cheap with artists is the way to play.
